Often times, it is our critical and melancholy thinking patterns that lead us to depression, and that is definitely something that we can control. You can decide what you let get into your head, what you think is important, or what needs your attention. Melancholic depression is a serious sickness that lasts longer than typical periods of sadness, and will interfere with many parts of your life, relationships, school work, or job.
